Halloween Fun

This week the Clinton News ran a story I wrote on Halloween costumes. Like I said, I wish I were one of those creative moms that makes my kids' costumes, but I've found ordering them online is so much easier. I click and they arrive at my doorstep.

On Halloween afternoon, we tell our kids to go pick something out of the dress-up clothes they already have! My favorite was when Caleb came out wearing regular clothes and a pair of black glasses with the Groucho Marx nose/mustache/eyebrows attached. He got the most laughs that night! As a family, I'd have to say our greatest debut was going as the Incredibles!!!

And ... for the not-crafty moms there's always plain old face paint. Green face, black dress and pointy hat and you've got a scary witch. Or white and black paint and you've got yourself a zombie.

Good story, BTW

I ordered Alice in Wonderland and the Cheshire Cat.

Wow, that's smart Carrie. We have SO many dress up clothes. I should have tried that.

Ah, yes, face paint. Cheap and works wonders.
